  I am writing this review from the perspective of a former employee, not a customer. I did, in my time with the company, hear clients speak about Hearts of Gold and their views as customers were generally favorable as well. To be frank, I enjoyed my time working for them. They have won many awards for being good employers and this was evident to me in my dealings with the management of the company. I felt highly valued and supported in my time there. It was a good job, the thing that made it a short term thing (13 months) was the unpredictability of the hours, although to be fair this isnt so much a critique of Hearts of Gold as it is a thing common to this industry as a whole. There was a couple of times when I was getting decent hours and then a client discontinued services or unfortunately passed away and then I would be down to a handful of hours a week. Not the thing for someone who is the primary breadwinner for my family. Although I have to say that the scheduler, Penny, is amazing and works her tail off to get people as many hours as she can. All in all I would recommend this employer to someone looking for a part time job.
